About KidFest
KidFest is a non-profit organization with a small group of dedicated volunteers who work with community businesses and groups to provide the local and visiting public a wonderful, fun-filled day of excited musical entertainment, interactive activities and quality time with family.
The weekend begins with Quality Foods' Festival of Lights fireworks display on Saturday, August 15th. On Sunday, be sure to register for the Quality Foods Children's Sandcastle Competition located on the beach at Parksville's Community Park. Just on the grassy field next to the competition is where you will find KidFest, which runs from 10am-3pm.
Our mainstage features non stop entertainment, and the Sandcastle awards at 1pm. Over 30 community groups are on site to provide free interactive games, crafts and activities for children under the age of 14.
So be sure to mark Sunday, August 22nd, 2009 on the calendar, pack a picnic or enjoy the food vendors that will be on the site and join in the fun!
We request that you please leave the pets at home!
Parking is available throughout the town and then it's only a short walk to the beachfront.
